Some do not realize how God applies the thoughts of our minds. The Eucharist is a remembrance ritual, but as the heart focuses upon what He has done for us, we spiritually receive the gift to our spirits. That's why the Bible tells us to get our relationship to Him corrected BEFORE coming to the remembrance. And God takes very serious the improper partaking of the Eucharist remembrance. Why? Because the acts of the behavior are imprinting on the spirit, so to take the bread and wine 'unworthily' is to take upon our spirit damnable flaws! If this were not so, satan would not be diligent in working this mischief of cannibalizing the body and blood.

Christopher Hitchens was known to spit upon the Eucharist as a bloody religious mystery rite. he disdained Christianity as a bloody religion. I heard that his brother once tried to explain the spiritual meaning of the blood upon the Mercy Seat above the law of Moses. I don't know how Christopher received that, but there are no indications that I saw that he ever acknowledged God's Word. He was a deep thinker, but he too was mystified by the blood in the Religion.

Catholicism twists what Jesus instituted during the ritual of a remembrance to the passing over. They are deluded by satanic power to think of the Eucharist as the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest, yet they will not open their hearts to the truth of the ONCE FOR ALL

The life is in the blood and when the blood is gone, death occurs.

That is the only way, IMO, that it was guaranteed that Jesus was indeed dead.

For some strange reason that last paragraph will not load completely! I'll try to get it up one more time ...

Catholicism twists what Jesus instituted during the ritual of a remembrance to the passing over. They are deluded by satanic power to think of the Eucharist as the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest, yet they will not open their hearts to the truth of the ONCE FOR ALL, FOREVER as the precious blood spread upon the Mercy Seat over the laws. This blood was/is so precious that it need be spread there ONLY ONCE. To repeat and repeat and repeat is to take the Eucharist unworthily, just as Moses was found unworthy to enter the Promised Land because he struck the Rock again, instead of speaking to it as instructed the first time.

If Jesus’ words of *It is FINISHED* isn’t enough for them, then the torn curtain ought to be.

But no....

Why someone would prefer the hard (RC term), difficult, complicated religion of works over the simplicity and ease of salvation through faith in Christ is beyond me.

Unless they really don’t trust God to do what HE promised and think that they can do a better job of it themselves.

It is an issue of pride. Satan has ways to twist the soul into prideful dogma without the one twisted even realizing how they are being 'pretzelized'. Their is a hidden element of pride that they can work themselves to worthiness. it is the same strategy satan uses in so many works based religions. This one just happens to be particularly blasphemous because it instructs adherents who want an honest relationship with God that they are to drink the literal blood of Christ, which is exactly opposite the nature of the God Who offers to them redemption from sin and death. I have actually had a Catholic tell me that sleeping with a woman not his wife, while still married, can be taken care of when he goes to mass, so he is not turning away from the pleasure of 'her' company. Think of how many catholic priests molesting children actually believe that they can have absolution by the confessional and the Eucharist, because they plan to sacrifice anew the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they go right back to their sin. How many catholics have taken this as a hint that they too can be in the world and part of it?

So much for the charge of *easy-believism* and *I can get saved and live however I want* against non-Catholics.

FWIW, I know that attitude is prevalent among Catholics having frown up Catholic in a highly Catholic community and working with many.

Add rude. This is NOT twitter. We do not spend our time insulting people and calling them names.

Go back to twitter .. obviously you’re acting 12; if you’re an adult .. your manners and knowledge are missing.

**Can Fallen Man Do Anything to Please God?**

Yes. repent and come to God.

Nope. The gospel is foolishness to the unbeliever. 1 Cor. 1:18.

No one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:3. Unless the Holy Spirit already dwells in you, you can’t believe.

The unbeliever is spiritually dead. Dead men can’t do much - well, they can’t do anything. It is God himself who raises us from the dead - spiritually. Eph 2.

God himself is also the author of our faith. Heb. 12:2.

“Apart from Me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5.

There is nothing the unregenerate man can do to come to faith. But there’s the gospel ~ that God himself gives you the faith to save you! It’s not about you at all. It’s all about Jesus.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
What does this mean? I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith. In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. In this Christian church He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers. On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. This is most certainly true.
