It should be understood but it isn’t. I just think their timing is rather late.
The churches I know about have always said this. I know mine does. I knew a man who went to my church years ago. He moved to another city, got up in front if his new choir, announced he was a homo, and was kicked out of choir right then. He was kicked out of the church, too. This was about 8-10 years ago.
