I like the notion that ‘everybody is a sinner including I’ more than the notion ‘I am saved and better than you’ attitude I had in the past.
I’m just ‘one drink’ away and need God in every moment of my life to maintain sobriety.

I think a more accurate description would be, "sober alcoholic". You are still an alcoholic but you do not drink and because of that fact you are sober. Be careful, though, and don't overestimate your ability to stay sober by your own power, and by yourself; you are still just an arm's length away from that first drink where, as they say, one is too many and a thousand is not enough.
