I just see Christianity as about the relationship between the individual person and their creator, while the old covenant was about the relationship between the Creator and the nation of Israel.

That being said, a Christian can pray for anything they want as long as it is within God’s will. I prayed for the Berlin wall to come down. :-)

And to amplify, I pray for individuals - and if they are not saved, my prayer is that they are saved. For the already saved, I pray for their other needs.
