Texas Senator and Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz said 2 Supreme Court rulings were so wrong they constitute one of the darkest periods in US history.
I can not even begin to understand the blinders youd need to wear to make such a callous statement as this.
Slavery. Lynchings. Trail of Tears. Triangle shirtwaste factory. Hiroshima. Nagasaki. My Lai. Kent State. 9/11. Hurricane Katrina. When we first learned about Abu Ghrab. 115 migrants dead in the Texas borderlands in 2014. Even Charleston just last week.
These were dark days folks. People dying is a dark day. People dying because we killed them is an especially dark period in our history.
It is not a dark day when you loose at politics. You fought
you lost. Period....

What a bunch of idiots. First of all, Cruz said “one of the darkest” periods....so that doesn’t minimize this rag’s list....but seriously? Kent State? I mean it was dark, but damn, didn’t impact 300 million people like the Obama Care and marriage rulings.
Cruz was no doubt talking about the double whammy of those two decisions in a 24 hour period.
Rev Troyer is a pacifist, so he thinks war is wrong, and that war is worse than slavery. He fails to see that we just had a silent coup and that we have lost our democracy. We are on the way to serfdom.
He’s ok with that so long as no one gets shot over it.
