The so-called "gay" exclusion has always been a lie. Undoubtedly, over the decades I would bet hundreds or thousands of homosexuals have marched in the St. Pat's Day parade. It's just that they marched singly with no signs or banners and not as a groups proclaiming their mental disorder.

Since homosexuality is still considered a sin by the Catholic Church, and the parade is a celebration of a major Catholic historical figure, allowing homosexuals to march as a group proclaiming their mental disorder would be like Jews allowing uniformed Nazis carrying the Nazi flag to march in a parade dedicated to Judaism.
