Unfortunately, it's been a very long time (at least back to 1967) since most 'Catholic" colleges and Universities have required faculty to live, support, or at least refrain from public dissent with refard to Catholic faith and morals.

I'm sure most Catholic universities have divorced/remarried faculty.

I received a Jesuit prep school education in Connecticut soooo long ago (class of 1964) that the Jebbies were still Catholic and still known as God's Marines. It was only when my senior homeroom teacher (Latin and English and Theology) arrived from Fordham in the New York province that the prep started going downhill morally and politically. The priest in question breezily informed us that we could avoid sexual intercourse with our paramours by substituting oral sex. My parents were not at all pleased to hear this "innovation" in Jesuit moral theology.

I retained enough of my actually Catholic moral formation to regard myself as privileged to represent more than a thousand "criminal" defendants (including Fr. Norman Weslin) in what was, in our state, mislabeled as Operation Rescue. Best work I ever did as a lawyer.

May God bless you and yours.

I think this may be a ‘test’. Fordham University is in NY where “gay marriage” was legalized before the SCOTUS decision. The ‘couple’ were ‘married’ in an Episcopal Church. The University cannot fire him for this action which is ‘legal’ in NYS, nor can they switch him to a different department. We are judging the situation; has anyone looked into the Theology curriculum at Fordham to see if it complies with Catholic Church teaching? Expect to see more of these cases.
