A lot of people have gay friends or gay family members so they see it more as a civil rights issue than a moral issue.

I’m not. Homos are the modern-day black rats of Calcutta, spreading disease - physical, mental and spiritual.
Straights that are pro gay are probably opposed to any limits on their own sexuality.
They’re probably pro abortion, pro divorce, pro cohabitation, pro extramarital sex, etc.
It just follows from this. And if they feel inclined to act on same sex feelings, they don’t feel the inhibiting influence of traditional morality here, either. I think that explains why it seems there’s more gay people these days.

They are either closet homosexuals themselves or atheists that could care less about any morality talk. With homosexuals it’s all about sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, and more sex. This ridiculous “LoveWins” nonsense after the fake marriage ruling should have been “SodomyWins”. There is nothing about “love” when a man sodomizes another man, OR WOMAN! There is nothing about “love” when a woman straps on a rubber dildo and pretends to have intercourse with another. This is deviate sexual behavior. And the Supreme Court legalizing perversion does not mean it’s still not perverted sex.
Uh ... Not sure how to respond.
Right now, this is a herd phenomenon. It's a bandwagon that people all over the country are getting on because everybody else is. Deep psychological explanations based on the specifics of the moment really don't work. At another time, people would be embracing a different movement or phenomenon, just because it was popular.

There are two types of straights that are accepting of phags; those who never come into contact with them and those who are constantly around them.
Those are never come into contact with them don’t care because it’s no sweat off their brow.
Those who are constantly around them are more accepting because it’s the path of least resistance when you’re around hyper-neurotic people.

It always seemed to me Arthurian legend has paradise (The Round Table) destroyed when real love is replaced by sexual passion. Rather than submitting their physical desire to God and learning to love in a Godly (non-sexual) way, Lancelot and Guinevere act on their passion and destroy everything they value. The most famous tale of courtly love shows what happens when it is indulged.
Marriage laws carried government recognition and beneficial treatment to prevent men from destroying both women and children by pursuing lust instead of Godly love. Once marriage focused on ‘love’ and ‘happiness’, it ceased to have any value to society. If it isn’t a binding contract focused on building future citizens, then what is the governmental interest in marriage?
And if Lancelot and Guinevere destroyed what was good, what will Lancelot and Lancelot & Guinevere and Guinevere do? Or Lancelot and Guinevere and Guinevere and Guinevere?
Probably because they have no other disorder to set themselves apart, other than being liberal.
Sex is a very small portion of a marriage. Sexual perversion fails to respect the legitimate authority inherent in the institution, resulting in loss of freedom within the marriage. Losses in marriage further compound into losses in family and in national authority. They also impact upon loss of freedom in personal volition of one, if not both people in the marriage.
The author's argument was what our pastor said on Sunday. God is love. Our love is not God, but that is what we have made it. Our "god."

They’ve accepted the media line of BS that it is normal. My daughter used to watch Degrassi and there was an episode where a gay guy wanted to donate blood but was turned away. She said that wasn’t right. I explained to her how homosexuals were more prone to all sorts of disease and she said, “Oh. Then they shouldn’t donate.”
But she did have the idea of gays donating blood to be used only by other gays.
