BTW, this has been pointed out to you before. It’s CATHOLICS who also use the term “Roman Catholic” as many signs outside Roman Catholic churches attest to.
Not to mention, that we non-Catholics do recognize the difference in teachings between Roman rite and EO. Many comments about Catholic beliefs, especiall regarding Mary, cannot be applied to the EO, who do not accept the same teachings about Mary as Roman Catholics do.
Nor do the EO recognize the papcy as the Roman Catholics do.
To use the general and generic term “Catholics” as a blanket term would not accurately represent their teachings.
