If someone says Catholics worship any of the following:
Mary
bread
the pope
statues
does this meet your definition of “bashing” ( which you say you would never do ) or is that just calling out unbiblical theology and practice according to your understanding?
I recall years ago, when I was on a school board and a negotiator with the teachers supervisors union, I was accused of teacher “bashing” because I opposed a 7% pay increase. It is a favorite liberal word to silence opposition. It requires no explanation ,no definition and no thought. It merely requires an accusation.
I promised myself to get above that but I can see its an uphill battle, even with “principled conservatives” who won’t give you the time of day if it puts them on the spot to read their watches.
