I don’t understand being upset over the fact that people disagree. The Undead Thread religion rule is that everyone can discuss his or her religious beliefs or activities. Anyone else can ask questions about someone else’s religion. However, nobody can argue or criticize. Once a question is answered and the information understood, the questioner has to say, “Thanks for sharing.” He can’t say, “But you’re wrong!”
It’s not necessary for the whole forum to operate on that basis, but the fact that it works suggests that a bit of detachment could go a long way. “I disagree with you about (this) because (argument).” “Yes, I think you’re right about (this), but on the other hand (that).” I’ve had plenty of discussions that ended in continued disagreement, but not in hostility.
