Thanks so much! I’m familiar with a number of these. I’ve heard a number of comments about the rift between Missouri and Wisconsin synods that make me less enthusiastic, but I don’t know enough about it to know whether it’s one of those urban myths that grow up around the different denominations. Any insight?
I haven't been in long enough to have delved the historic infighting, other than that there was a group who tried to make the Concordia Seminary turn left, and they were
ejected or walked out, but the LCMS has remained
sola scriptura. Right now I'm just happy with what I hear every week at the services, and the kinds of people and activities at my local. Try out the web sites and see what you think -- and of course take a look at the headquarters web site,
