J Vernon McGee was a Presbyterian

Not too long ago in America, most, if not all, non Catholic denominations preached the gospel

America was blessed by God's men preaching salvation by grace through faith

When the questioning started and denominational PEOPLE (not the congregants, themselves, nor their ministers) started argueing ... THAT'S when a lot of fracturing happened in the cohesion of America

Some of you may or may not be familiar with Peter Marshall. He was Chaplain of the Senate. He was a wonderful Christian man - born in Scotland, and a Presbyterian. His wife and widow, Catherine Marshall wrote several books, and her most famous was, “Christy,” which was made into a movie and later - a TV series. A little more about Peter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Marshall_%28preacher%29

Yes; “old-time” Presbyterians and Methodists were extremely fundamental at one time. Now, for the most part, not so much.
