And he will deceive more at that point in time than are currently deceived today if you can believe that!
Rev 20:8-9
Hmmm.... it says that “the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” I never thought about this before but that expression ‘sand of the sea’ is found in two other places in scripture.
The first is when an angel of the Lord is talking to Abraham Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
The second is at the end of evening when Jacob is wrestling with an angel of the Lord Genesis 32:12
12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
So in the cases of Abraham and Jacob, the promise is that their descendants will be a great people of virtually infinite size. And in the other case in Revelation, the number of those who will be deceived and burnt up will be virtually infinite in size.
This is one infinity minus another infinity....
Gives new meaning to Matthew 7: 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
