Sadly, for President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, Planned Parenthood's policy of "harvesting" and selling the tissues and organs of aborted babies is a virtuous act of heroism by women, who have generously donated parts of their bodies, so that they can be sold by abortionists for medical research. After all, as Dr. Josef Mengele, the "Angel of Death" at Auschwitz, pointed out, they were going to be killed anyway. So why not make some extra money from their deaths?
And Catholic "pro-choice" politicians correctly point out that many bishops continue to acquiesce to their contention that the Eucharistic Christ wants to regularly ratify with His Own Body and Blood the morality of their abortion agenda. If the silence of our bishops continues to concede to this "pro-choice" contention that Christ considers the barbaric butchering of babies in utero as a legitimate dimension of "social justice", is it any wonder that the courts do not take seriously the Church's conscientious bjections to the HHS contraception-abortion mandate? Indeed, the Church's liturgical practice for decades has shown that this is not really a serious moral issue. How can the Church legitimately object to a practice, which she herself routinely ratifies through one of the most sacred actions of her liturgy?
And did not the President of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops give the Democratic Party Convention his benediction as that party was demanding not only more contraception and abortion, but also the legal redefinition of marriage to include sodomitic relationships? How is it that a Cardinal of the Catholic Church would freely bless a group pro-actively promoting actions in clear violation of his Church's basic moral convictions?
Sadly, solid evidence has been accumulating over the years to indicate that the bureaucracy at the USCCB has incrementally become merely a sycophantic branch of the Democratic Party. I cannot help but wonder how much more perversion will be required before the Vatican and the USCCB finally recognize that the agenda of the Democratic Party has declined beyond degeneracy into the promotion of intrinsic evil. Its whole agenda is based upon policies that aim to abort our posterity, our morality, our economy, our military and our polity. And all this is done to promote political cronyism, perversion and promiscuity as linchpins of "social justice" and the New World Order.
I pray that God may show more mercy on us than we have shown to our posterity! And may we finally come to take seriously the dire warnings given to us by Our Blessed Mother nearly a century ago at Fatima!
Love that Akita, Japan post. Here are a few by Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich, which will help people understand where we are at now.
For those unfamiliar, Ven. Emmerich was a nun who bore the Stigmata. She was given visions of history regarding Christ and the Church. Mel Gibson’s movie, The Passion of the Christ used the visions she had of the Passion in his movie.
June 1, 1821: “Among the strangest things that I saw, were long processions of bishops. Their thoughts and utterances were made known to me through images issuing from their mouths. Their faults towards religion were shown by external deformities. A few had only a body, with a dark cloud of fog instead of a head. Others had only a head, their bodies and hearts were like thick vapors. Some were lame; others were paralytics; others were asleep or staggering.”
“I saw what I believe to be nearly all the bishops of the world, but only a small number were perfectly sound. I also saw the Holy Father— God-fearing and prayerful. Nothing left to be desired in his appearance, but he was weakened by old age and by much suffering. His head was lolling from side to side, and it dropped onto his chest as if he were falling asleep. He often fainted and seemed to be dying. But when he was praying, he was often comforted by apparitions from Heaven. Then, his head was erect, but as soon as it dropped again onto his chest, I saw a number of people looking quickly right and left, that is, in the direction of the world.”
“Then I saw that everything that pertained to Protestantism was gradually gaining the upper hand, and the Catholic religion fell into complete decadence. Most priests were lured by the glittering but false knowledge of young school-teachers, and they all contributed to the work of destruction.”
“In those days, Faith will fall very low, and it will be preserved in some places only, in a few cottages and in a few families which God has protected from disasters and wars.”
April 12, 1820: “I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps.”
Wow! Thank you! The apparition of the long processions of bishops is enough to give one the chills. It seems we are at these times right now...
I wonder which Holy Father she saw. Sounds more like BXVI.
Yes, the Churchs stand is clear. Just because some bishops dont adhere to the teachings doesnt make it any less clear. The Church is pro-life period.
The USCCB is not THE voice of Catholic teachings. There are many things that the USCCB err on, IMO.
Of course, the USCCB has ZERO teaching authority.
But their very existence, with the words “Catholic” and “bishops” in their name, makes it a destructive organization. For 100 years, they have been nothing but an organ of the Democrat party, and the Soviet Union, and the New World Order.
The most influential PRO-ABORTION organization in the U.S. is the Catholic bishops’ conference. They have done almost nothing for 45 years except throw monkey wrenches in the efforts of pro-lifers.
When the notion of “bishops’ conferences” was first promoted at Vatican II, they were envisioned as precisely that: CONFERENCES or MEETINGS of bishops, held from time to time. Cardinal Ratzinger made this very clear. They were not envisioned as owning buildings or having EMPLOYEES.
The USCCB and ALL “bishops’ conferences” around the world need to be abolished.
But that still doesn’t change the RCC official teaching against abortion. The Curch is pro-life ... from conception to natural death. Yes, fallible humans make poor decisions and yes, some in leadership positions lead some into sin. But that will never change the official teaching.
Of course the Church’s teaching cannot change.
It seems the more I agree with you, the harder you argue.
My guess on the Pope is Pope St. John Paul II. I remember him with his head drooping to his chest, as Ven. Emmerich described when he was suffering with parkinsons.
I sure miss him. BXVI too.
Okay, yes, that could be. I didn’t think of JPII. We miss him too and BXVI as well. They were the only popes that I knew, as I converted in 1984.
Mustve misunderstood your intention. I apologize.
Congratulations and welcome home!
Thank you very much! It had nothing to do with me (I wasn’t “investigating” faiths, etc.); it had only to do with Him! He wanted me to be a Catholic, and for that I’ll forever be greatful! =)
*grateful
