THERE is a crisis coming—and it is already here—for our Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ. It was foretold by Jesus when He said,
…everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined. (Matt 7:26-27)
That is, whatever is built on sand : those interpretations of Scripture that depart from the Apostolic faith, those heresies and subjective errors that have divided Christ’s Church literally into tens of thousands of denominations—is going to be washed away in this present and coming Storm. In the end, Jesus foretold, “there will be one flock, one shepherd.” [1]
For the present divisions between the body of Christ are a scandal to believers and the world alike. While we can find common ecumenical ground between Christians through our baptism and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we must also admit that our unity eventually breaks down when the sword of truth is fully withdrawn from its sheath. How can we ever resolve these differences in interpretation between the various denominations? The answer is that the doctrines which divide us have already been resolved.

I haven’t seen it for awhile...and glad that propaganda is gone. Hopefully.
I came across (via an in-the-know) Freeper, the apparitions of Catherine Emmerich today. You might find this one interesting:
October 22, 1822: “Very bad times will come when non-Catholics will lead many people astray. A great confusion will result. I saw the battle also. The enemies were far more numerous, but the small army of the faithful cut down whole rows (of enemy soldiers). During the battle, the Blessed Virgin stood on a hill, wearing a suit of armor. It was a terrible war. At the end, only a few fighters for the just cause survived, but the victory was theirs.”

I can certainly handle the topic but just want to know how this is not Protestant bashing and baiting as others were accused of catholic bashing? What’s fair for one is fair for the other

And the doctrines that divide us will never be resolved as long as the RC church persists in unbiblical and extra biblical practices such as Mary worship, praying to saints, insisting that Christ is perpetually sacrificed on their altars during mass and the like. We are all aware of the differences that are not reconcilable at this time. Here I stand I can do no other

Now that you mention it, I don’t think I’ve seen those Osteen posts for a while.
I did think it was funny they kept posting it daily, despite only one or two people commenting on it, and having to hide behind the “Devotional” shield to prevent criticism. Didn’t see much of a point to it.
The only more pointless spam in the Religious forum are the inane posts by that self-appointed prophet Jedediah. He usually gets zero responses and also has taken to hiding every post behind caucus tags after people kept reminding him that he didn’t speak for God.
Do you think Osteen followers call him “stupid”?
It is not “Mary worship.” Who told you such a thing? You are throwing jabs at Her, and She doesn’t like it. She is merely the Mother of God, not God Himself. I love Mary, and more importantly, so do our fallen-away kids. It will be Mary who brings them back to Jesus. That is her M.O. She does it all the time.....
Which I hope you noticed he got ZERO support from Evangelicals on this board.
