Be Still And Trust
When Faith Leaps ^

Posted on 07/25/2015 8:25:00 AM PDT by Cecilia Trent

“What they trust in is fragile; what they rely on is a spider’s web. They lean on the web, but it gives way; they cling to it, but it does not hold.” — Job 8:14-15 (NIV)

When life seems unpredictable and our future doesn’t feel secure, we naturally want to scramble, doing everything we can to resolve whatever it is that has brought on our anxieties, fears, and discomforts.

When we try to take control of an uneasy situation, we start to assume that we had control of the situation to begin with.

In these times, God says:

“Be still and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

“In quietness and trust is your strength.” — Isaiah 30:15 (NASB)

It’s not about what we can do. It’s about what He can do.

It’s not about what we can do. It’s about what He can do.

People talk about "bottom lines."

THAT is THE bottom line.
