If my reading of the guidelines is correct, this thread won't qualify: "Unlike the 'caucus' threads, the article and reply posts of an 'ecumenical' thread may discuss more than one belief."
It may be more likely to qualify as one of those "ecumenical" threads, which allows discussion but not antagonism. A proper "ecumenical" thread has neither the exclusion of the "caucus" threads (if this were a caucus thread, I couldn't post here) nor the rampant antagonism of the "open" threads. I don't know why more people don't use it; my best guess is simply not knowing about it (it's not used very often), and I will take advantage of a good opportunity to promote it.
