All I see is the Roman Catholic Church showing a legacy of stupidity. Their faith that God will protect them from the infiltration of bad elements has allowed them to be sloppy and lazy. Now we see the Jesuit Marxist Liberation Theology slip itself into to Church.

Why can’t this important bastion for human freedom get itself straight? Forces are swilling within it to send this once mighty powerhouse down the sewer of history. It is too bad the layman Catholic won’t pull their heads out of the sand and seize their plight by the horns.

Why would anyone listen to the Pope about politics. A majority of Catholics don’t listen to him about religion.

As practicing Catholic, I am hoping he has a short pontificate. Just saying.

VERY obvious photo shop. I wonder what the motive was?

Has the Pope ever endorsed a candidate for President before ?

In my memory, the Pope has never, so it's a silly moot point...

Someone correct me if I am wrong..

For someone who’s supposed to be ‘in this world but not of this world’, he seems overly concerned with materialistic matters and a tad short on minding the things of the spirit.

I don’t hear the Pope speak much on the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ for example.

As the Good Book says: “Man does not live by bread alone.”.

Looks like the Pope and Hillary have at least one thing in common.

That’s my feeling too. The Pope is nothing but a two-bit leftist and I think people actually don’t care much what he thinks now because they know it’s just going to be more PC garbage. I have read that the attendance at audiences and other papal functions in Rome is way down, and nobody is expecting big crowds for his American visit.

Reminds me of the Cheech and Chong routine from one of their old records about the Pope, the Mafia and having a woman. Pope said No she must have Big T***. LOL

I agree, but speaking out on issues is very different from a political endorsement i.e. telling people who is the choice of the church. I have no issues with the Catholic Church’s good works but I don’t want the Pope meddling in our elections - mostly because he’s a foreign head of state.

I don’t think it is a moot point. This Pope treats the liberal agenda with greater reverence than he does the Bible.

Sure, no Pope has ever endorsed a candidate before.
BUT I wouldn’t put it past this particular Pope.

As an ex-Catholic, I feel sorry for the true Catholics who have to endure this fool of a pope.

“... just wait until the Pope visits America next month and endorses socialist Bernie Sanders for president.”

Incredibly unlikely since popes routinely do not endorse candidates in political races.

“What business does the Pope have endorsing anyone? He needs to STFU and confine his activities to the church.”

First, what proof is there that he will endorse anyone? Has he ever endorsed anyone in U.S. politics? Ever?

How can an endorsement of a candidate in favor of abortion be in line with Catholic teaching? Catholic Apologetics

“If the Pope insists on meddling in the US Elections the Catholic Church, sadly, should lose it’s tax free status.”

That’s illogical and legally not workable. 1) Who has any proof the pope will interfere? 2) If he does, that is HIM, and not the Catholic Church. He is a man. The Catholic Church is incorporated in dioceses which all have tax free status independent of the pope and each other diocese.

The last time a Pope was an issue was in the 1960 Presidential election. And, even then he didn’t endorse anyone.
