World's First Lesbian Bishop Calls for Church to Remove Crosses, to Install Muslim Prayer Space
Breitbart London ^ | October 5, 2015 | Oliver Lane

The Bishop of Stockholm has proposed a church in her diocese remove all signs of the cross and put down markings showing the direction to Mecca for the benefit of Muslim worshippers.

Eva Brunne, who was made the world’s first openly lesbian bishop by the church of Sweden in 2009, and has a young son with her wife and fellow lesbian priest Gunilla Linden, made the suggestion to make those of other faiths more welcome.

A article about this was posted yesterday, from a different source I believe, and with a different headline. Before I even clicked on it, I had a strong hunch about what this person’s demographic categories would be.

I also have a hunch that this proposal goes beyond simple hospitality to non-Christians.

Why this hospitality would be needed, I have no idea. Would a Muslim even go into a Christian church to pray? They don’t even need a building. I’ve seen Muslims spread out their prayer rugs at interstate highway rest areas. I once saw a Muslim cab driver pull over along the Illinois Tollway and spread his rug on the shoulder behind his car.

Is the cross offensive and divisive? Sure it is. That is the irony of it.

“On a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame.
And I love that old cross, where the dearest and best,
For a world of lost sinners was slain.”

Years ago, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon used to hold large conferences for ostensibly Christian clergymen. Moon encouraged the clergy to remove crosses from their churches as offensive and divisive and, by his own “theology,” an emblem of failure. Yes, Jesus failed by going to the cross. He was supposed to have married and have established his kingdom by siring a master race, and he would have except for that unfortunate incident on Golgotha. Moon said he was sent to fulfill that mission and thereby fix what got messed up by Jesus’ failure.

Evidently a lot of the clergy bought into this. During a conference in Chicago, the clergy enthusiastically participated in a ceremony that declared Moon and his missus “King and Queen of the Universe” or some such thing. A prominent local black clergyman, also a professor at the nearby United Methodist seminary, was a key participant.

I’m not saying that this is what “her grace” is up to here. But she is no more a Christian than Moon was.

This sounds like the European branch of the ELCA.

I have to laugh. Yay, LCMS!

from the article:

“There is strong support for diverse cultures in Malmö and it is important that the church is there to support that”.

Malmö is Sweden’s gateway to Europe, and is the main point of ingress to the Nordic nations for the thousands of migrants travelling through Europe from Africa and the East who have decided to make it home.

As a major bottleneck into the region, with a single bridge and ferry route connecting the country to the rest of Europe,

the arrival of these migrants has heralded an unprecedented level of criminality in the city, as explained to Breitbart London by a recently retired senior police officer last month.

Describing the ‘no-go’ zones that have sprung up around the city and calling for greater border controls to get criminal migration under control, Chief Superintendent Torsten Elofsson said:

“Years ago you could go with two officers, no problem. Now you have to send four officers and two cars – if the fire brigade want to go, they have to take a police escort. They throw stones and try to stop the fireman from putting out fires.

“They sabotage the police cars. You can’t leave them unguarded – when you come back to it you find the windows smashed and the tyres deflated. It isn’t quite a no-go zone, but we have had to develop special routines to go there”.

When asked whether she would be removing the cross from her church, Kiki Wetterberg responded:

“I have no problem with Muslim or Hindu sailors coming here and praying.

“But I believe that we are a Christian church, so we keep the symbols.

“If I visit a mosque I do not ask them to take down their symbols. It’s my choice to go in there”.

Are those carpet fibers between her front fangs?

Satan has scored yet another bishop. He’s already got a pope in his corner.

I doubt it:

"...The Turk’s Koran, or creed, teaches him to destroy not only the Christian faith, but also the whole temporal government. His Mohammed, as has been said, commands that ruling is to be done by the sword, and in his Koran the sword is the commonest and noblest work.

Thus the Turk is, in truth, nothing but a murderer or highwayman, as his deeds show before men’s eyes."

Yes, Wetterberg is the parish priest of the church in question and, using polite language, basically has told the “bishop” FU.

So remove all signs of Christianity and help Muslims to identify with their religion???

And this fulfills the Great Commission?

It's also the jihad rape capital of Sweden, and possibly of Europe.
