I’m a born-again Christian too, but even that joke hints that men & women should seek each other out, and belong together.

It wouldn't be a joke if there weren't a grain of truth to it.
In a healthy society, you'd tell that joke and everybody would look at you like you were from Pluto. "Huh??? Battle of the sexes????? Wuzzzat?"
