A specter is haunting Europe—the specter of communism. All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this specter: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies. …
That is the first paragraph of the Manifesto’s preamble. Think they were targeting Christianity from the outset, maybe?

Almost impossible to fight an idea. Staying true to our faith AND inculcating that faith in our children, ESPECIALLY by example seems to be a way to fight any non-Christian idea.

Communism sounds good to some, but their godlessness is anathema to MOST humans. All cultures, primitive, ancient, modern, whatever, always worshiped what/whom they thought was their superior, creator or whatever. It seems to be a part of our humanity.

What an asinine question.

Christians are supposed to fight against ALL evil and communism is the epitome of evil.

Yes. I spent 20 years of my adult life doing just that.

Christians should remember the concept of free will.

Even if you actually believe that communism is some form of charity, keep in mind that it is forced on the participants. Then cannot choose to stay out of it if that’s how their government operates.

Would Christians force people into their religion?

SHOULD CHRISTIANS FIGHT COMMUNISM?

Yes. Communism is a distortion of Christianity. It is Egalitarianism carried to the extreme.

"Should Christians Fight Communism?"

The best way to help the poor is a rational pro-business environment and an economic system that promotes prosperity.A rational pro-business environment and an economic system that promotes prosperity both recognize the benefits of profits, money, capital accumulation, technological progress, and individual rights, including property rights, and liberty.Communism is just the opposite.

Excellent question. The answer in the earliest form of communism.

God asked Cain “Where is your brother?
Cain did not want to answer that question. So he tried to distract God to a different paradigm:

Am I my brother’s keeper?

The Judeo-Christian answer is: No. I am not my brother’s keeper. I am my brother’s brother.

There is a big difference.

Prisons, zoos, plantations have keepers. The main job of the keeper is to prevent peole from escaping...escaping from the plantation. The keeper (or the people the keeper works for) are smarter (or stronger) than those kept. They know what is best for the people they keep and are angry when their guidance is ignored.

The brothers brother teaches his brother to fish; but does not give his brother the fish; nor force him to fish.

The brothers brother is not responsible for his brothers choices or behavior. Each person is responsible for his own choices, including his religious choices.

Increasingly, those who use the label Christian claim that the rest of us should adopt the theology of Cain and reject the Judeo-Christian theology of God.

Communism is the theology of Cain. The beauty of the theology of Cain is that different self-appointed busy-bodies can have different agendas for their brother.

Slaves on Plantations of the past were quite different from serfs in communist Ukraine. And yet, they were essentially the same.

“Communism is politics, so Christians cannot get involved. “

Nonsense .

We are where we are because we have let many unbelieving leftist invade many of our pulpits . They have preached a social justice gospel in place of THE GOSPEL and we have NOT kicked them out of the pulpits and continue to give them our money. Can’t kick them out then LEAVE that church and quit giving evil your money.

We are where we are because the “church” has become week and bought the lie that we should be quiet and try to fit in.

We are not suppose to fit in . We are not suppose to be silent . We are suppose to be LIGHT in the mist of darkness.
We are suppose to be praying and repenting for the nation that God may have mercy upon us .

Communism has slaughtered BILLIONS of people every where it has taken hold .

If you call yourself a follower of Christ and you support the idea of socialism or communism you need to check yourself and make sure you are really following Christ .

good read. i believe our God, Jesus, is a *show me* God, not a “tell me” God. yes He gave all men freedom, but it was given so we may be completely responsible for our actions before Him.

any man who will steal the God given freedom from another men is the enemy of God. yes, He will forgive those who repent and He has redeemed the bretheren. but i don’t think He’s gonna be too happy with so called bretheren who think the’re in the right for not fighting tyrany in all its forms. you can’t forgive someone who doesn’t admit to being wrong.

Don’t come to God having sat comfortably on your, uh, church pew your entire time here, while others fought His battles for you.
