Religion is man seeking God. Christianity is God seeking man.
Christianity is God showing grace and mercy to man. God does not need anything, seeking man is indicative of a need. Which is not an attribute of God.

No, God doesn’t NEED man, but as the Creator who loves man, he dent Jesus to bridge the gap between God and man. So God initiated the relationship even though he didn’t need it.
