I don’t.

It is the constellation ‘virgo’. And the sun will travel close to the middle of those stars. And while the sun is close to the middle of those stars the moon will then travel down to ‘her’ feet.. It represents the end of a day. A specific day.

I utilize a free downloadable computer App to show the movement of the sun, moon, stars and planets,Mrs Don-O..and just watch. I was curious what was going on up there during the time Judaism assembled, and it just popped right out. I stumbled into it.. You may be able to find an application that lets you plug in a ‘date’ instead of just the date today..

You can find free downloads. It is really cool! Planetariums or observatories may be able to help too..

But take note, we aren’t talking satanic astrology. We are talking biblical astronomy. Things the wise men would be studying- science and the movement of His Creation. Which is what science is- a study of His Creation..
All that study without the Light of Truth is helpful, but not fullness.
Studying His Creation ,with the fullness of Truth, declares He is and is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

People may deny the Son or the New Testament, but His Heavens declare His Righteousness!
And He does it during His Feasts..

And those who have the Son have the Father. And we can help those who don’t..

The Bible ‘themes’ we know were written in His Sky before it was placed on parchment. And the signs, coming next at those same times in the year, will confirm even more of scripture..
He is Sovereign and Worthy!

All for His Glory!

Astronomy always interests me.

Did the Hebrews designate and name the same constellations that the Latins and Greeks did? Did they accept the names and positions of the 48 constellations later cataloged by Ptolemy? Did they have one they called by the name "Virgo"?

I ask because I understand that the Babylonians called this same constellation "The Furrow", representing not a woman but an ear of grain.

I know nothing about such things but I would have supposed the Hebrews would have used the ancient Babylonian system, not the Greek-Roman one which came much later. Although the tribes of Judah were in formal captivity in Babylon for less than 100 years, Babylon remained the seat of Jewish intellectual life for centuries and well into A.D. times.
