I bought the book and it is very informative on the Muslim history of conquering the Infidels.
It is somewhat depressing when you read about the atrocities of Muslims long after Mohammed's death, who out perform Mohammed in more brutal and perverted killings of non- Muslims.
Unlike today, many of our past politicians and writers were very critical of Islam and spelled it out in correspondence and speeches. Islam certainly wasn't portrayed as a religion of peace by them. -Tom

I believe a lot of people who are brought up in their parents and grandparents religion want to alter the religion to accommodate modern thinking about the world.
Islam is hard to modify because Muslims believe God told them what HE wants, to follow the examples of Muhammed on how to implement Islam.
Muhammed and his examples of how to implement what Allah wants done are very well documented.
Muhammed is one of the most documented people in history, as are his implementation of Allah's wishes.
Altering Islam to make it more palatable to us Kafirs, and to Muslims who don't want to get blood on their hands is , to me, impossible.
Get out of Islam if you can't abide by it.
(And yes I know that caries the death penalty - but so does tampering with Islam, and not following the examples set by Muhammed. Tom)
