Obviously you are not aware of "citrus greening" which is a bug that is killing citrus orchards all over Florida and other places.

The Florida Commissioner of Agriculture just reported this week that "without immediate and tangible support, as a long-term solution, Florida is facing the prospect of losing its signature crop and its more than $10 billion economic impact" to the state.

In two years, our citrus crop has almost disappeared. The fruit that remains on the trees are mostly not edible. Within a few more years, our trees will all be dead. And so far, there is no way to stop the bug that is causing the damage.

I heard the other day that Florida is switching to peaches because citrus is disappearing.
