Daniel and imardmd1, thanks for the pink(?). Yes, that is an interesting juxtaposition, mechanical logic versus a more organic approach to analysis. In a sense though they represent two aspects of the same problem solving process. We do try to simplify the complex so we can run it through our handy dandy rules machines and hopefully get more consistent results more quickly. But this works best when the number of variables in the equation is not approaching infinity.
BTW, I haven’t been ignoring y’all intentionally. The political wars on FR have been drawing me in (legal debates, mainly). I’m going to have to cut back though. I’m working on a novel, a “plausible” time-travel story, with theological undertows. It’s taking a lot of time. I’m somewhere near 25,000 words and about half of them will not make the final cut, IMHO. Lots of work, lots of research.
