None of “you” are united, because outside the (Catholic) Church there is no salvation”.
“None of you are united, because outside the (Catholic) Church there is no salvation.
Chapter and verse please. Otherwise, just foolish opinion.
There you have it folks!
Still taught to today's Catholics!!!
"One indeed is the universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved, in which the priest himself is the sacrifice, Jesus Christ, whose body and blood are truly contained in the sacrament of the altar under the species of bread and wine; the bread (changed) into His body by the divine power of transubstantiation, and the wine into the blood, so that to accomplish the mystery of unity we ourselves receive from His (nature) what He Himself received from ours."
--Pope Innocent III and Lateran Council IV (A.D. 1215)
We are united in Christ in his death and life and with each other in the Holy Spirit, all having received the same Holy Spirit.
Church affiliation does not unite one as there are probably 1.2 billion different interpretations of Catholicism.
See previous posts on this thread for differences that exist in Catholicism alone, and not insignificant ones at that.
