I am southern Christian, wasn't me. It was Southern low information voters. The gun forums in the south supported Cruz (often on a razor edge but they did support him over Trump mainly due to Trumps past of supporting a gun grab). Example: the largest gun group in Alabama had a poll and Cruz won it by just over 50%.

Sold out? Bankruptcies (3x) dropped him down to around 27% owner (still majority) in 2010 when the negotiations started with the flesh factories. Sometime in 2010 he dropped to 10% owner which he kept until at least 2014. You can try to make it a case of when they opened, but when they negotiated the deal is what you don't want to be known.

Also remember in 2010 he was trying his best to get into online gambling and even had his own brand (well him and others, but it was Trump name they were going to use). So Trump was venturing into what he hoped was a big money maker (can't afford to travel, just lose your shirt online).

But whatever I have continued to uncover has shown that Ted Cruz, raised in a repentant, truly American Christian moral home, and making choice after choice to become an American faithful to our heritage, and working it out through diligent reliable service to his community has well-earned the right to be selected for this office.
Compare that to the questionable birth, education, and Communistic Islamist foundation together with the early ineffective political dabbling of our current President, who has sold our Constitution and our country down the road, and I believe my choice leaves yours in the dust, logically and historically.
I think that is as simple as one needs to go to confute your Esau analogy. Esau saw his inheritance so worthless as to trade it away for a dish of beans. Cruz and his family have regarded American citizenship far above pearls and rubies, and their heavenly citizenship even greater, and have fought for the right to exercise it.

The elder Cruz preaches that Christians are divided into Kings and Priests,.....the kings (politicians) go out and conquer the financial world and bring the money back to the priests (pastors in contemporary terms).
Ted and Heidi Cruz/s economic libertarianism also dovetails nicely w/ globalist Goldman/Sachs-—who financed Ted into office. G/S is Heidi’s $700,000 a year employer. So it looks like the Cruz/s have a head start in getting money back to the pastors.
