Pope Francis's Family Values Message Falls Short, Say LGBT Groups In US
On same-sex relationships, Pope Francis said: Every person, regardless of sexual orientation, ought to be respected in his or her dignity and treated with consideration.

LGBT rights groups in the US said on Tuesday that Pope Franciss document on family values fell short of already low expectations.
The 256-page Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) adopted more tolerant language towards same-sex relationships, but did not include any significant changes to the churchs position on these unions.

Mary Beth Maxwell, of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), said her group was disappointed by the document.
This was the culmination of two years of often contentious conversations by church leaders, deeply divided on their approach to LGBT people and our families, said Maxwell, the HRC Foundations senior vice-president for programs, research and training. In many ways, its not surprising that while he didnt make more bold commitments to full inclusion that many people long for, it does seek to create a culture thats more loving than judging.

On same-sex relationships, Francis said: Every person, regardless of sexual orientation, ought to be respected in his or her dignity and treated with consideration, while every sign of unjust discrimination is to be carefully avoided, particularly any form of aggression and violence.
He went on to say: There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to Gods plan for marriage and family.

Christian are called to pattern their lifestyles according to the Scriptures, not pattern the Scriptures according to their lifestyles.
“LGBT rights groups in the US said on Tuesday that Pope Franciss document on family values fell short of already low expectations.”
O noes. What shall we do?
(Thinking of a chocolate cake)
The gays won’t be happy until homosexuals are priests and lesbians are nuns.
Oh, wait...
It is and never will be “enough” for these people as they serve a different master and are only out to destroy the Christian faith.
The Vatican is going to learn a hard lesson, well maybe two:
The left is never, never,NEVER satisfied with anything less than totally embracing homosexuality in all it’s perverted forms, and
Dancing with the devil always ends in disaster.
I respectfully but strongly suggest the Pontiff shore up his relationship with the Almighty. And soon - tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.
You are absolutely right!
Maybe the Pope in his newly inviting tone can “preach” to this crowd and offer them positions in his church?

Somehow I don’t think he was a dressing the fudge packers and muff munchers.
I am sure he was not addressing them.
Understood, but I’ll remind you that way back when, everybody was compelled to have ‘tolerance’ for the homosexuals because ‘who cares what consenting adults do in their bedroom?’/ it won’t corrupt the culture they say.
Now look where we are - bakeries get sued out of existence for not baking a wedding cake, homosexuals are a protected class in jobs and have an inordinate influence in government. Are you familiar with how the agenda is pushed in public schools?
My view is the the camel’s nose under the tent analogy applies here.
They won’t be satisfied until they have made God in their own image.
Everyone has pro-sodomy acquaintances. They rationalize that “gay is ok.” They do this while totally ignoring the mountain of evidence that sodomy is a deadly proposition. Just refer any pro-sodomy person to the Centers for Disease Control and ask them to explain why when men participate in the natural homosexual union act they will spread disease. Can they explain that and still rationalize that sodomy is “natural” and/or people are “born gay” when the very act will spread disease?
Conservatives are in the very same war that we waged against the abortionists. They win the battle because they define the battle field rules and they control the talking points.
In the “gay is ok” movement or the “celebrate perversity” crowd you must always turn them to the act of sodomy and have them explain why a “natural act” produces disease and the federal government warns against it? Why? If it is totally “natural” why does it spread disease? Let them defend that! When you go to a City Council meeting to argue against “anti-discrimination” laws against gays or things like that you must focus like a laser on the single issue of sodomy and its disease. Don’t get off course but focus. The gay activists will absolutely want to change the subject - don’t let them do it. Stay focused on the act of sodomy. Don’t use their language in the discussion. Always use the word sodomy. When you’re done with the conversation you are left with a person that has to defend the spreading of disease through their “natural lifestyle.” They will lose every time.
Speak for yourself.
P.S. there is no such thing as "natural homosexual unions".
The next time they say one is born gay, ask them how in the world there are more gays now than there were 300 years ago. If there were a gene that eliminated reproduction, how could it get more numerous, since it can’t be passed on? This combined with the diseases, STD’s, AIDS etc would wipe out a gay gene in two generations.
Like 2% of population, over half of new AIDS cases.
Pope Francis went on to say: There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way - normal or healthy.”
In an Apostolic Exhortation, the purpose of which is to teach, wouldn’t that have been more honest, more helpful and more pastoral!?
I think Francis is neither normal or healthy. So who is he to judge?
And why do you assume he is? Is that your judgement?
