The American Founders believed religious liberty to be so essential that they enshrined it in the First Amendment. Today, however, it is treated as only another flashpoint in the culture wars. Simply look at the reaction to Georgias H.B. 757, a religious-freedom bill that my colleagues in the legislature and I voted to pass on March 16.
In light of the Supreme Courts decision last year in Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized same-sex marriage throughout the U.S., Georgias lawmakers wanted to be clear that our states protections for religious liberty have not changed. The bill would have protected clerics from adverse government action for their refusal to perform marriages or sacraments that conflict with their religious beliefs. Religious organizations would have been protected in their hiring practices and from adverse government action if they refused to allow the use of their property or provide services in violation of their sincerely held religious beliefs.
The bill also would have incorporated into Georgia law the text of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), federal law since 1993 and part of the legal codes in at least 30 states. RFRA restores a judicial balancing test that ensures government cannot substantially burden the free exercise of religion without compelling justification, and that the least restrictive means is used to accomplish its constitutional objective.
In 2014 and 2015, Georgia also attempted to pass RFRA, but then, as now, opponents claimed that these efforts would enable discrimination. Just when did the freedom to follow ones religious beliefs in daily life become redefined as discrimination?
No matter. Disney and Marvel threatened to pull production of the "Avengers" film franchise from the Peach State, and the cable channel AMC vowed to take its "Walking Dead" series elsewhere. The NFL warned that it might drop Atlanta from consideration to......

Corporate America has been infiltrated by zampolits, commonly found in “Human Resource” departments and working their way into management.
Stupidity? There are a lot more of us than there are them. Their loss if the normal folk boycott their crap.
So you are saying these businesses are going to actually be hurt by doing this?

The BBB...Big Business Bullies
“Why Are Companies Taking Sides Against Religious Liberty?”
They’ve been doing this for a very long time. It has just gotten more blatant.
The stereotype of big business is men in suits who lie, cheat, steal, and indulge in greed as much as possible. If even 1/10 of the stereotype is true then it should go without saying that expecting morality of such people is a hopeless endeavor. And the public is infested with liberals and liberaltarians who are willing to countenance the open practice of evil. So the big corps do not see much of a problem endorsing evil, because they are not going to be called to account for it by an evil populace.
Because they know they can kick Christians in the face, and Christians will do nothing. The corporate bullies get rich off Christian consumers who don’t stand up for their faith because they are cowards, and cowards get picked on.
The victim states ought to be papering the walls with discrimination lawsuits. If I have to bake the faggots a cake, Bruce Springsteen ought to have to give the concert. Fair’s fair.

A small organized minority can target business and force change. A large disorganized majority cannot.
So you think most folks still disagree? But just not enough to do anything or what?

Exactly.

Decent people are too busy working to pay the bills and the taxes. They are trying to get Junior to his soccer match that is almost a requirement for inclusion in polite society today. They are dodging speed traps set by the tax enforcement officers. They are working to maintain their dwindling church. They are keeping their lawns perfect so the HOA doesn’t cite them.
People have to give up this crazy “must do everything or my life is incomplete” mindset before they will ever find time to be an organized minority.
This should be posted on every WD thread so the fans can see what they're supporting.
And the fact that God has spoken - we will degenerate into a global cesspool before He comes back to set things right....
Same reason as the ones that jumped on the gun control wagon; they believe that side will win, and they want to be on the winning side when victory is declared.
I explained boycotting to my kids and they understood.
