It's too bad that Catholics are so thoroughly taught that they can NOT know for sure if they are saved until AFTER they die.

Nope. You don’t hear His word. He told Peter and his successors to go “Teach” His word. That is a teaching AUTHORITY. There can be only ONE authority to teach ONE truth. Either you are a Catholic who hears God’s word or you are not.
