Actually the several councils that put the Bible together were of folks derived from different parts of the empire over a span of several centuries; not just Italian ancestors whose tribes were derived from main peninsula containing Rome!
Apparently, brainwashing has worked better for some than for others.
The group responsible for assembling the Bible was comprised of SOME Italians, but was not ALL Italians.
