Big yawn. A celibate priesthood is a discipline of the Roman (Latin) Rite of the Catholic Church. Other rites (Eastern Catholic rites in union with Rome) have had married clergy for centuries. If Rome decided it was in the best interest of the Church, they could change that particular discipline at any time.

Disciplines can change at any time. Doctrine (such as an all-male clergy) cannot.

The archbishop is ignorant of the many trials and tribulations of the Protestantr clergy. The wife of a pastor has a rough time.
