Again, pius, do you? We are permitted to admonish a Pope in error. There is no stated distinction within the verse. Is this what you meant when you offered to prove your point? Because to be completely honest, pius, I don't see any new argument here.

So you completely ignore the Catholic commentaries on the Catholic meaning of the verse: that Peter, a true pope, was not gravely in error in matters of doctrine. Furthermore you think you can apply it to Francis who you thinkis gravely in error in matters of doctrine.

It seems to me that you would like to interpret the verse as you would like to interpret it rather than how the Catholic Church interprets it. Hmm. Got it. I think we're done here.
