I’ve been a UMC member all my life. If they change the policy on gay weddings or clergy, my family will have to find a new denomination.... probably Wesleyan.

Might as well leave now then. (I did.) The policy is to have the Book of Discipline say the right thing and then ignore it while people violate it with impunity. This commission won't alter the status quo for at least two years (if it ever can). Is that good enough for you?
