In the Orthodox Church, babies are routinely Baptized, Chrismated, and Communed relatively soon after they’re born.

Then they are taught to venerate icons long before they can understand what that means, and are routinely brought up for Communion as well. They also hear God’s Holy Word as they are learning to speak and understand.

Then they grow up to be Orthodox Christians. Since all children receive the same Holy Gifts, no adults can put on any show, since we’re all equal!!!!

Sounds odd. I’m Christian, and I read the Bible. I can’t think of even one child that was baptized in the Bible.

What’s venerating icons mean?
