This guy is a full blown Marxist. He should be Bernie’s VP.
Important to notice:
1- He is speaking to the entire world.
2- This is from the National Catholic Reporter which is notoriously liberal.
(Wait to see how the National Catholic Review reports this)
But wait. Slaves can’t quit and go someplace else where they can get a better offer.
Francis continues to reveal his real beliefs. How much longer do we have to suffer this blowhard?
Yeah, those workers live in Islamic countries.
This guy seems to be nothing but Karl Marx in a white Yamulka
This puke needs to crawl in a hole
The man is economically ignorant, in a classic leftist way. He's an Argentinian populist, so it's no surprise.
Someone needs to whisper in his ear that health benefits, vacation benefits, retirement benefits, and pay are all the same thing.
If all the people who say this would put their money together they can start and buy companies that don’t make a profit. They don’t need to change our system, they just need to invest their money in the capitalist system with no expectation of return besides getting their original money back in 10 or 20 years. The can employ A LOT of people this way with no profit motive that they complain about.
I wonder where Michael Moore and his buddies invest their money. My guess is that it’s not buying MacDonald’s franchises that operate without profit so they can pay $15/hour. It’s much easier to tell franchise owners to pay $15/hour than to do it with your money. He could put the franchise in the worst parts of Detroit, Phily, or wherever he complains other owners won’t invest. What could go wrong? He’ll get his original money back in 10 years and make lots of employees happy if he’s right about things. Does he really need interest on his 10s of millions of $$$ over the next decade?
And, if unions would get involved there’s a lot more money to buy companies and they wouldn’t need to deal with those messy negotiations. GM was almost free a few years ago (as far as companies like that go). Why wouldn’t the unions want to own it and run it as a private company for the employees? And buy other failing companies to reinvigorate them instead of letting them be sold off in pieces or move overseas?
If only the union members and MacDonald’s employees realized there’s a huge risk that deserves a profit for the owners for providing them jobs the way Michael Moore and union leaders do but won’t admit.
Funny how government centralizers are never “leeches”, by contrast.
Does this explain his kind words for islam?
Islam is a totalitarian ideology disguised by a cloak of religion.
In the past, the Marxists tried to destroy the church. Now they infiltrate, wrapping their totalitarian ideology in a cloak of religion.
Pope Marx strikes again, and again, and again...
He is a beguiling deceiver.
He is a devil Pope.
Seven deadly sins: (Coined by the Catholic Church a LONG time ago.)
PRIDE (from here flow the others), the worst sin
Envy
Anger
Sloth
Greed
Gluttony
Lust

In the late 6th century, Pope Gregory the Great reduced the list to seven items, folding vainglory into pride, acedia into sadness, and adding envy. His ranking of the Sins' seriousness was based on the degree from which they offended against love. It was, from most serious to least: pride, envy, anger, sadness, avarice, gluttony, and lust. Later theologians, including St. Thomas Aquinas, would contradict the notion that the seriousness of the sins could be ranked in this way. The term "covetousness" has historically been used interchangeably with "avarice" in accounts of the Deadly Sins. In the seventeenth century, the Church replaced the vague sin of "sadness" with sloth.

I use the acronym GAPLEGS to remember them all, but also remembering that PRIDE (arrogance) is the lynch pin of them all
John Galt gave a very detailed speech about this guy and his motivations.
It’s ironic I suppose, that the last several Pope have always had mildly nervous discussions as to whether they were the “last Pope”, based in some fortune telling prophecy.
But not a word about this about the current occupant. I suspect because his behavior is so questionable that such a consideration cuts too close to home.
Wait until he gets a load of AI robots.
I make it a point never to listen to people who preach about the sin of wealth of others while they use bathrooms with gold faucets.
