Yes, It is always important to look at words and not to parse them. And I find it quite interesting that you did not post the preceding sentence in your Romans’ quote:
[26] And so all Israel should be saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion, he that shall deliver, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. [27] And this is to them my covenant: when I shall take away their sins.
Do you even know what the word "parse" means? It means to grammatically analyze a word, phrase or sentence, or to examine texts to uncover their implications or deeper meanings.
It would do the Free Republic forums a great deal of good if we all did a good deal more parsing. Parsing before posting would sure improve the overall comprehension levels. Now: I find it quite interesting that you did not post the preceding sentence (vv 25-26)in your Romans quote:
"I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not become wise in your own estimation: a hardening has come upon Israel in part, until the full number of the Gentiles comes in, and thus all Israel will be saved..."
