Interesting? Where were you for the five years and in what capacity? Ive been to Baghdad, Qatar, Kuwait, and the Sinai as a green suiter (96B). Is it your contention that the Christian God and allah are the same?
We were in Ras Tanura, the big refinery town.
We did go to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, of course, some of the Emirates. My husband worked for ARAMCO and we had OODLES of time off. So we traveled to places that we KNEW we would never see once we came home: Syria (Damascus), Egypt (twice, one land tour, one boat tour), Jordan, Turkey, India. We spent a Christmas in Egypt with my mother, who made the long trip. My sister had recently passed away and she didn't want to spend Christmas alone. Imagine, an Egyptian Santa. :o)
My husband had bought one of the FIRST video cameras, so those prototypes were the BEST. We also went to China when it first opened up. It was amazing.
Contention: THAT is what most people over there believe. I BELIEVE that God will sort things out for all of us.
I also believe that if we try to live our life the best way we can, God will NOT condemn us to eternal hell, hell being eternity without Him. That last sentence is a Catholic belief.
You apparently believe that anyone who happened to be born a Hindu is condemned to hell, even though those people had never had the opportunity to know Jesus. That seems so harsh to me, condemning ALL non-Christians to hell for all time...even innocent new born babies, born Hindu.
I guess that would include the BILLIONS of Chinese too, born and died over the millenia. Also, ALL of Africa, all the Americas...everywhere.
I believe in a merciful God. Perhaps you do but only on a limited basis, excluding ALL non-Christians forever and all time.

The ten nations are listed in Psalm 83. The king in Daniel 7:24 is the ruler/anti-Christ and after he rises three kings are uprooted.
Muammur Kaddafi was the third king uprooted, the other two, Hosni Mubarak and Saddam Hussein. And uprooted is the perfect word as these three had nearly 100 years of combined rule in the M.E. No small feat indeed.
