Uh…the Muslim idea of peace is to kill everyone who believes in a different religion than Islam. Surely, the Pope can’t be this ignorant.

Wanting peace is a most estimable goal. How the peace is attained, indicates the different approaches.
Some get to a state of peace by personal meditation. Some get to a state of peace by doing good in the world. But one ideology masquerading as a religion, Islam, proceeds to “peace” by totally squelching all dissent, by intimidation, be demonizing all opposition, and by simply killing the voices that resist in the least manner. Even if the dissident is also a Muslim, if it is the “wrong kind” of Islam.
The peace of the grave is probably the most democratic peace of all.
A lot of people of his ilk (tree-hugging, kumbahya, 'can't we all get along', commies) believe this line. Basically they don't believe the Bible, and they don't understand why anyone else takes their Religion seriously. It is all a matter of getting everyone employed at good wages (impossible), and all will be well.

Peace through elimination of everyone else. Maybe Frank thinks that, since the French priest is now at eternal peace, islam is a religion of peace.
