A devout Christian mother in Texas is fighting for her transgender daughter's right to use the girls' bathroom when she starts kindergarten.
Kai Shappley, 5, was born male, but has lived as a little girl for the last two years publicly.
Kim Shappley told KHOU that she named her child Joseph Paul at birth, but changed the name after her child made it clear as to what gender she identified with early on.
'By age 3, she was verbalizing, 'I'm a girl, you know I'm a girl,' she said.

You are right-We underestimate what they comprehend. My younger kids prove that daily. I’m pretty sure, however, that this boy was pushed into it by his crazy mother.
A couple of months ago my youngest son was in the car with his sisters and me. He said something that made us laugh, I saw his face fall as he was being very sincere. To make him feel better I said we just laughed because he’s so cute and adorable. About a week later he said”Mom, remember when you called me cute and adorable? I’m five and I’m a boy. Don’t ever say that again.”
Boys know that they are boys. Girls know they are girls. This mom is dangerously insane.
She most definitely does not believe the texts which comprising Scripture are the inspired words of God.

While not denying the “humanness” of all who are involved in every form of depravity and sodomy, (as Christ forgave and told the harlot women at the well, “go, and sin no more”), it was a real judgement of God in Romans 1:26-27 that God would allow or give the individual over to their own depravity or sodomy!
“26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

According to scripture, Moral Depravity is one of the benchmarks of how individuals and societies would be in the time of Christ’s return as well.
The Apostle Peter warns of the presence of “Gay Theology” in the time of Christ’s return.
2 Peter 2 utilizes Noah’s flood, Sodom’s incineration and Balaam’s error, to give warning against “destructive and perverted heresies” in the last days which are DEFINED BY “sensuality” and the lust of defiling passions” (v.1-19) a clear reference to homosexuality.
What is Heresy? Heresy is any theory or teaching that directly contradicts the truth of scripture. “Gay theology” is a blatant example in this age and is all too obviously described in Peter’s inspired prophecy regarding the time when Christ would return.

1 Corinthians 6 warns that homosexuals (and all moral depravity) cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, but they can be saved and healed from homosexuality by Christ (v.9-11).

So, this women is either unaware, rebellious toward, or does not believe what scripture teaches.
As such, she can only nominally associate with any derivative Christian organization.

There was something wrong with that mother child relationship from the day that boy was born that made him think, at 3 years old, that it would be preferable to be a girl. Though I know nothing about her situation, I could easily hear that woman saying to her friends when she was pregnant that she wished she was having a girl. And I can imagine her continuing to say it when she thought her baby son was too young to understand. I have overheard mothers wishing for the opposite gender and I have seen them treat their kids badly because of it.
Kids do not understand gender and sexual behavior as toddlers, but they do want to please their parents and they are extremely perceptive to adult moods. It may have been as simple as the little boy watching his mother’s reaction to baby girls or girl-themed toys or clothing and trying to get the same reaction for himself. It would certainly explain the mother’s eagerness to let the toddler “decide” something so life altering for himself when he’s likely not even out of diapers.
Her behavior now is only prolonging his misconceptions of himself. This will not have a happy ending I fear and turning it into a media circus that provides this shallow, glory seeking parent with a lot of crowd approval will only compound the boy’s problem when puberty crashes into him with the force of a freight train.
OMG.... I feel so mortified for them both. And this is in Texas!!! I dare not imagine what will become of that poor child...
