rying to make the Lord's coming into one's death simply is not what Scripture does

So if you don't believe one's death puts one in the presence of the LORD for judgement; do you believe in a form of soul sleep ?

The only verse I can find to indicate that this is possible is the one about the thief on the cross:

Today; you will be with me in paradise.

Believers do NOT come into judgment when they die as they have already been judged when they accepted/believed on Christ.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

We are saved NOW, today, seated in the heavenly places IN Christ Jesus. Positionally, in the spirit realm, we are already in heaven.

We are saved, we are judged righteous.

What is examined is the quality of their works for reward. And that reward is NOT salvation. The salvation is already a done deal. Jesus rewards us beyond that for faithful service.
