I confess I laughed when I read the interview. Let's face it. To whom do you think Cardinal Wuerl speaks? Do you think he's spending a lot of time outside his chancery speaking to the ordinary people of the diocese or is his contact with them from the window of his lavish apartment on embassy row?

Too much of the Church leadership care more about their social standing than the Word of God.
Notice that in the photo in post #2, all three: Biden, Wuerl and Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin have their hands clasped together.
Wuerl is cruel to his priests, indifferent to the laity, unless they have BIG bucks, and is the most notorious homosexual in the American hierarchy next to Cardinal McCarrick. He does a fantastic Uriah Heep impression—24/7.
He lies constantly about Canon Law and sacramental theology, confident that the bulk of the laity will be hoodwinked.
Reliable reports are that Wuerl was exuberantly gleeful when Cardinal Burke was ousted from the Apostolic Signatura. (Burke exposed Wuerl’s favorite lies about Canon Law in his famous article on Canon 915.)
The fact that this oleaginous phony is a favorite of Bergoglio’s is an indictment of Bergoglio.
As with Bergoglio, the best service any Catholic can do for the Church is to undermine Wuerl’s credibility with anyone who might still be fooled.

The Third Reich lasted 12 years. American bishops have been getting photographed slobbering on pro-abortion Catholics for 45 years.
No doubt. Bergoglio and Cardinal Sean O’Malley—who is as corrupt as Wuerl—have been close friends for many years.
The “mafia” that promoted Bergoglio is just a small part of the hard left among the Cardinals.
Don’t think so. Wuerl has his hands clasped, and Biden has a hand on top of Wuerl’s hands.
