Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
We Stand in Awe of Your Majesty.
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
We Look To You For Deliverance,
For You Alone Are The One True God.
Our Strength and our Song
Our Refuge in Times of Trouble,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer!
You created a beautiful World,
With Everything We Need to sustain us.
We abide in the Shelter of Your Wings!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Anyone who has seen the famous "Ride of the Valkyries" Scene in the movie "Apocalypse Now" can understand why some modern commentators have posited that the Locusts in Revelation 9 are attack helicopters. However, anyone who has ever seen the devastation that real locusts can wreak upon the landscape have little difficulty imagining these as locusts of the insect variety.

Locusts are weird. One by itself is a grasshopper-type creature that does no harm. However, when they reach a certain population density, a hormone is triggered that causes them to swarm, destroying everything in their path.

Locusts are symbolic of Judgement in the Old Testament. We see their devastating effect both in the Book of Exodus and the Prophet Joel.

The huge invading army from East of the Euphrates is connected to the Locusts in this Chapter. Nineteenth Century Bible Commentators such as Matthew Henry, Adam Clarke, and John Foxe are nearly unanimous in equating Revelation 9 with the armies of Islam, while some more contemporary scholars used to equate them with the Red Chinese. Since 9/11/01, these more modern thinkers seem to be listening more carefully to the old guys.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
