Upon cojitating on this situation, I’ve concluded that Andy is passing the buck. HE himself doesn’t REALLY believe the Scriptures, but erects a straw man; a theoretical unbeliever who “doesn’t believe”. Man up Andy. Read Hebrews 11; especially verse 6. He has to create a straw an because mush of what the seeker friendly churches run into is the truth of the scriptures which does not defend but opposes many of the ways they conduct their services and their churches overall.
There’s a lot of “control” measures used by male teachers in the small groups that meet. Especially of the youth..
I have family members who attend one of these churches and the parents voiced concerns about a couple of their teachers as the teenage girls had all the markings of seeing their teachers like one would a Hollywood idol.....and the teachers liked the “fame”.
