When the shepherd is struck, the sheep scatter.
Lord, have Mercy on me, a sinner.
I am bleating for nourishment and shepherding. I have neither. If there is to be no repentance and turning back, in the Western Church, there is a great need to return to the lives and teaching of the saints and to the pious practices of the humble flock who followed them and endured living in a similar time as mine, with similar dismay.
I am a little puzzled about how to reach back in history to find where and when those saintly models appeared, who taught endurance in evil times in the Church.
