Presumption is a sin. So is pride.

There is no presuming or pride when God promises.

Believing that God is going to do what He promised is neither presumption nor pride.

It’s called *faith*, something that those who depend on works don’t exercise.

But then again, if I WERE depending on my own works, yes, I would indeed be worried about it.

So if someone is worried about their salvation, it is a pretty clear indicator that they are NOT trusting God.

You don’t have to wait til mass to be forgiven.

Jesus invites you to His throne of Grace at any moment in your life.

He is waiting for you to confess the sins you stated and ask forgiveness.

He will give it to you before you are through asking.

Go ahead, it’s completely Biblical.

Who's doing the presuming? I'm taking God at His word and believing His exceeding great and precious promises. The only pride I see here is from those who would rather trust in their own righteousness to save them instead of humbling themselves before the Lord and receiving the grace He so freely offers.

There's also the jealousy and envy - as long as we're talking about sin - directed at those who know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is faithful and He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Christ Jesus, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Interesting observation.

John 5:24 tells us we can be sure of our salvation. There is no presumption involved with believing.

The question is do you believe this promise of Jesus?

Believing The Promise of God is not presumption. The great demon has beguiled you ...
