I’ve seen this version of “The Ten Commandments” in the theater several times, and I’ve also seen the 1923 version, which is considerably different. De Mille’s talk at the beginning inspired me to read Philo of Alexandria’s account of the life of Moses.
That’s plain silly. He brings enormous fun to a very fun movie.
I like Ben Hur more.
I used to love watching that movie every year (when it was on once a year, before DVRs).

One of my all-time favorite movies!
The 1923 version is on the dvd Edition of the Ten Commandments that I have.
