In a National Catholic Reporter video, synod attendees praised the dioceses positive energy
around what it means renew our approach to marriage and family and said McElroy is a spiritual man.

[McElroy is a spiritual man]
The question must be asked: Is MCELROY a SPIRIT-filled man?

National Catholic Reporter?
Hmm... I refer to it as the irrational Catholic reporter.

The San Diego Union Tribune reported: McElroy said all parishes need to welcome LGBT worshippers. Some the bishop cited Hillcrests St. John the Evangelist have developed a reputation where LGBT worshippers feel particularly welcome. And thats a very good thing.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph. How the times have changed.
I was baptized in this church, St John's when it was located in University Heights, (where it's still located) but now, in keeping with the LGBT community, the area is all of a sudden called "Hillcrest!" "How convenient," as the Church Lady would exclaim!
I've never heard of McElroy, and I've not attended Mass since returning to my native city and I have no plans to do so. I'll wait for a new Pope, thankyouverymuch.
In the interim, I'm content to do my praying at home.

Interesting point; over the past couple of decades, a couple of things have become clear: Much of the Catholic hierarchy doesn’t believe abortion is murder, and much of the Catholic hierarchy doesn’t believe Christ is present in the Eucharist.
How can they expect anyone to follow them at all? I know, very few people do...

Okay. So, the SCHISM is no longer pseudo, but now REAL.
The College of Cardinals will declare anathema in the name of Christ Jesus, or go with Marx.
The question is when and how can the faithful cardinals convene for a “correction” and if banished, what can they do?

I am no longer following them. I do follow the teachings of Jesus as best I can.

Geeez. Isn’t that the truth? Who knew Hillary was a devout Catholic?

I’m with you. When there’s not a Bishop on this continent who will stop Tim Kaine or Nancy Pelosi from receiving Communion, I find it hard to get worked-up about some schlub whose wife left him and won’t cooperate with the annulment.
Civil divorce law absolutely does not support the Church’s position. One spouse can leave unilaterally, and often does. I’m not an Canon Lawyer but it seems to me something needs to be done to adequately address this situation.
